Gisela João presents her AuRora album live at Coliseus in November
Two mythical rooms that the singer has already sold out, over and over again, and the one that always returns home, this time to present live, respectively on November 5th and 13th, the themes of her most recent original album, “AuRora”, published in April this year.
One of the serious album candidates of the year, “AuRora” live at Coliseus is dedicated to those who are hungry for concerts, music, Culture – and Gisela João. as well as the mastery of the musicians who accompany it.
There is in “AuRora“ the same ambivalence as Gisela João, who lives between the traditional and the contemporary, the popular and the erudite, Portugal and the world. Because nobody is just one thing and Gisela João is many.
Successor to “Nua” (2016) and “Gisela João” (2013), “AuRora” is Gisela João’s first album to feature essentially original songs and is also the album on which the artist debuts as a lyricist and composer, also signing the production in partnership with Michael League, the award-winning Snarky Puppy, and Nic Hard.
And she sings not just as we expect her to sing but beyond everything we’ve heard her sing to this day. “Louca”, “Já Não Choro Por Ti” and “Canção Ao Coração”, the three singles from “AuRora”, will be some of the highlights of a concert that is expected to be full of emotions, from the first to the last second.
