II Seixal Cineclub Gala presents 12 short films, at the Municipal Auditorium
Friday, the 25th, at 9 p.m.
The II Seixal Cineclub Gala is scheduled for next Friday, the 25th, at 9 p.m., at the Municipal Auditorium of the Cultural Forum of Seixal. On this occasion, the participating short films will be presented, based on the theme “Freedom“.
Attendees will have the opportunity to watch the 12 projects from young aspiring filmmakers, in a session that will include the presence of a jury that will provide a critical analysis of the presented films.
Paulo Silva, president of the Municipality of Seixal, applauds the initiative and reiterates that “the project of the Seixal Cineclub encourages the artistic creativity of young people and contributes to their overall cultural education, stimulating engagement with the arts and civic participation in the appreciation and respect for the territory.”
The Seixal Cineclub – Showcase and Short Film Competition is a film creation project, organized jointly by the Municipality of Seixal and RUGAS – Cultural Association, running from December 2023 to October 2024. It is worth noting that the Seixal Cineclub Trophy was created by the students of Seixal Criativo, another successful project in the municipality of Seixal.
This 2nd edition, included in the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of April 25th, is aimed at young people between the ages of 15 and 20, residing in the municipality of Seixal. Admission is free but subject to reservation and confirmation via email.
