João Rosas and Carlos Conceição awarded at the Brive festival

The film “Um fio de baba escarlate”, by Carlos Conceição, was elected the best film by the jury of young people “Jeunes e la Corrèze”, and also received the distribution award, attributed by professionals in the sector, which guarantees screening in French theaters.

This medium-length film by Carlos Conceição, starring Matthieu Charneau, Joana Ribeiro, and João Arrais, made its international premiere in 2020, in Seville, where it won an award, after having been at the Vila do Conde Short Film Festival.

Director João Rosas was also recognized at the Brive festival, for the film “Catavento”, with a special mention from the jury.

“Catavento”, produced by Terratreme Filmes and also shown in Curtas de Vila do Conde, follows the summer of Nicolau, a teenager about to finish high school and who spends his days trying to figure out who he wants to be when he grows up.
