Jura confirmed at NOS Alive’24

Jüra will present the new album at WTF Clubbing at NOS Alive’24, on July 12th. One of the promises of Portuguese music performs on the same day with names like Dua Lipa, Tyla, Aurora, Floating Points, Gloria Groove, Larkin Poe, Michael Kiwanuka, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, T-Rex, The Heavy and Tourist.

Jüra is already one of the great certainties of national urban music, having started her journey in 2019 inspired by the ups and downs of life, relationships, love, and the search for the beauty that exists in sadness, because it is in music that she finds the translation of emotion, of the pain and love you feel.

The unique image and sound that lives between Pop, R&B and Hip Hop, stood out from the beginning, first with the two singles “És o Amor” and “somozumnãodois” and then with the debut EP, “Jüradamor”. It won over the public, the first million streams, critics, and the main national radio stations, and the single “diz-me” reached the Top 20 airplay in Portugal and Top Shazam Portugal.

All this added to a growing fan base that filled the Time Out Studio at her first concert under her name and that took her to the stages of the main festivals in Portugal.

2023 begins with Jüra as the first MTV Push artist of the year, performing for the first time under her name at the Capitol in Lisbon, with a full house and critics. This creative vein continued to simmer and brought forth a trilogy, which led the artist to explore urban sounds, placing her as one of the 5 Portuguese artists with the highest airplay on radio stations in Portugal. In the last quarter of this year, she surprise-released the EP “rés.tu” and announced the first advance single “avidadá” from her debut LP, “sortaminha”, scheduled for release in spring 2024.

It’s a new phase in the artist and composer’s career and life: “If until now music was a place that welcomed my laments, this album is a celebration of love, reciprocity and my identity. It’s a happy, very happy album, as you can already hear and feel in this new song”, says Jüra.

“tudoparachegarati” is the second advancing theme of the new studio work that was born from an artistic residency in Sesimbra. Jüra brought together the producers and musicians she has been working with to create without restrictions and compose what will be the artist’s first LP.

“sortaminha” is Jüra’s long-awaited debut work that brings together Pop, R&B, Hip Hop and other urban sounds, where he lives, breathes and is inspired and which will be presented on July 12th on the WTF Clubbing stage at NOS Alive’ 24.
