KWAN holds bootcamp to train IT recruitment specialists

With the aim of providing training, tools and skills in recruiting in the IT area, KWAN – a Portuguese company specialized in outsourcing and nearshoring of tech profiles – will promote a Bootcamp, paid, aimed at both recent graduates and recruiters from other areas beyond technology, and professionals undergoing career retraining.

Matching IT and HR professionals, the KWAN Bootcamp will start in October, in a hybrid model, with a face-to-face component held at the company’s offices in Lisbon, with subscribers being able to benefit from a strong practical component, through real projects, and supporting theoretical content.

Over six weeks, bootcampers will delve into basic recruitment topics, such as Tech Recruiter – focusing on the ideal profile and their functions –, Speak Tech – focusing on terminology, technologies and profiles – and even A Recruitment Process to Z, exploring job requirements/description, sourcing, candidate engagement and selection, interviews, employer branding, communication and negotiation.

In addition, participants will also have the possibility to develop their own skills, in terms of time management, effective communication, receiving and giving feedback, always with the mentorship of experienced professionals in the HR area.

“Our bootcamp is an opportunity not only for recent graduates but also for those who would like to change their careers and be in a demanding area, which is also very dynamic and attractive. IT is one of the most challenging industries when it comes to recruitment and selection, and therefore, just as there is a great demand for technological professionals, there is consequently also a great need for specialized recruiters in this area”, explains Catarina Castro e Silva, coordinator from KWAN Bootcamp.

In order to motivate the participants and so that they are oriented towards achieving results, this program is remunerated and, in the end, the successful ones will be able to do an internship with the possibility of joining the KWAN recruiting team.

Although no experience in the area is required to participate in the KWAN Bootcamp, candidates must have higher education and an interest in technology and recruitment. Mastering the English language and good soft-skills in terms of communication, empathy and resilience will also be valued.
