Mansarda: Taxpayer support can give artists a home

IRS consignment can be made until June 30th

The association calls for contributions to the project that aims to build a residence for artists for whom life has “changed its course”.

Mansarda – Social, Civic and Cultural Solidarity Association once again calls for the participation of taxpayers and companies to create its first home for artists. Through the allocation of 0.5% of the IRS to the Association, until June 30th, it is possible to support the construction of a place for artists of all ages, in situations of socioeconomic vulnerability.

The Association, founded in 2014, arises from the initiative of Patrícia Vasconcelos and more than two dozen founders, with the mission of creating a space for welcoming, sharing and valuing the talent and contribution of those dedicated to culture. To contribute, simply fill in Table 11 of Model 3 of the IRS declaration with the IPSS NIF – 513258299.

The “House”, designed by Mansarda, will be designed by the architect Carrilho da Graça, on land provided by the Lisbon City Council, following the signing of a protocol in 2020. With the motto “We take care of our own as we would like them to take care of us ”, the Association wants to create a space open to those who need it, but also to those who want to be part of it. Aimed at professionals from the world of language, arts and culture, in particular the performing arts, the project wants to welcome everyone who has dedicated part of their professional life to the arts and the stage, at a time when, in Portugal, there are countless artists who, for various reasons, are no longer able or unable to live in their private residences.
