Spanish company wants to open another 10 stores on national soil by the end of the year. In July, a store will be opened per week.
This Tuesday begins a new cycle for Mercadona since it will open doors for the first time in the national territory. The work has been done for several years and will culminate with the first of the establishment in Canidelo, in Vila Nova de Gaia.
This will be the first opening of the 10 stores planned for this year, all in the north of the country. This July should open one store per week.
The second opening takes place on July 9 at Sousa Aroso Street in Matosinhos. Following are the openings in Vermoim, in Maia, on July 16 and in Fânzeres, in Gondomar, on July 23.
The company already has 300 workers in Portugal and by the end of the year is expected to reach 1,000, with an estimated 50-60 employees in each of the establishments that will open.
