from Bordalo to the 16th century. XXI - Inauguration on March 18 at 3 pm
The Museu Bordalo Pinheiro/EGEAC inaugurates this Saturday, March 18th, at 3 pm, two new exhibitions dedicated to the History of Comics in Portugal: Fora do Quadrado. Bordalo and the origins of comics in Portugal and Portuguese comics. A look at the collections of the Beja Comics Museum.
Outside the Square exhibition. Bordalo and the origins of comics in Portugal, curated by Sónia Brochado, aims to highlight Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro as a key figure in the development of comics in Portugal. Through a journey that encompasses his entire artistic career, this exhibition presents a variety of games and graphic solutions, and multiple relationships between text and image, which still surprise today for their degree of experimentation and creative freedom.
The Portuguese BD exhibition. A look at the collections of the Museu da Banda Senhada de Beja, organized in partnership with the City Council of Beja, and curated by Paulo Monteiro, brings to Lisbon a small part of the collection of the future Museu da Banda Senhada de Beja.
