Music continues at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation
At this time, it is time to stay at home and with the Gulbenkian Foundation’s Grand Auditorium closed, the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation wants to continue to bring music to everyone. Pedro Burmester and Mário Laginha
In January 2018 the two pianists performed as a duo at Gulbenkian Música during the Pianomania festival, with a program that highlights the Concert for Two Pianos by Mário Laginha and different readings from Ballad No. 1 by Chopin.
Gulbenkian Orchestra and Menahem Pressler
At 94, the legendary pianist Menahem Pressler is one of the most admired pianists alive. In 2018, during the Pianomania festival, he performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23, in a concert where the Gulbenkian Orchestra also performed Stravinsky’s Pétrouchka.
