Street musicians perform on the Clérigos balcony in a solidarity festival

Next Saturday, August 28, Bartolomeu Lima, Bruna Costa, Tiago Barbosa, and Talita Cayolla come together to act in solidarity on the balcony of Torre dos Clérigos, in what is the first Festival Músicos de Rua.

Used to liven up the city’s streets, the four musicians now compose the poster for a joint event that takes them to a different stage. From 4:30 pm to 10:30 pm, the Clérigos will be the showroom – always outdoors – of the first edition of the Festival Músicos de Rua.

What the organization intends to do is “to honor the artists who daily animate the streets of Porto”, especially at a time when many “saw their lives greatly affected by the pandemic”. At the same time, funds will be collected to be donated to Associação Porta Solidária, which provides daily food aid to people without their own means of subsistence.

The festival starts at 4:30 pm with the presentation of the event and performances begin at 5 pm with music by Bartolomeu Lima. Bruna Costa goes up to the balcony at 6 pm and Tiago Barbosa at 7 pm. After dinner, at 9.30 pm, the night is played by Talita Cayolla.

Recognizing the importance of culture, artists and artistic creation”, the organization of the first Festival de Músicos de Rua is in charge of Torre dos Clérigos and Sem Volume.
