New Opel Zafira-e Life with zero emissions
With a capacity of up to nine seats and available in three body lengths, the new Zafira-e Life offers all the benefits of the combustion engine versions of this “Lounge on Wheels” by the German brand, now adding to it more and more pleasant ability to travel in total silence and without emissions.
It should be noted that most versions of Zafira-e Life have a height of less than 1.90 meters, which allows them to access conventional underground garages, something that is of significant importance, for example, in the field of hospitality shuttles. The tow hook option allows the Zafira-e Life to tow trailers up to 1000 kg.
With 100 kW of power and 260 Nm of maximum torque obtained from the electric propulsion system, the Zafira-e Life provides ‘performance’ superior to that of most electric multipurpose vehicles. Electronically controlled, the maximum speed of 130 km/h allows you to comply with the limitations of the motorways, while also preserving the electrical autonomy of the model.
Depending on the intended use, the Zafira-e Life can be equipped with a 75 kWh2 lithium-ion battery, which gives it a referential autonomy in the class of up to 330 kilometers (ideal for large family holidays) or with a 50 kWh battery for a range of up to 230 km.
The batteries consist of 18 and 27 modules, respectively. Integrated under the load compartment, without compromising the volume of the passenger compartment and luggage compartment, the batteries contribute to lower the vehicle’s center of gravity, benefiting stability in wind and curves, making travel more pleasant.
A sophisticated regenerative braking system, through which the energy produced during braking or deceleration is recovered, further increases the efficiency of the electric propulsion system of the new Zafira-e Life.
