“My Husband’s Lover” returns to Lisbon and Porto

The play, starring Marta Andrino, Frederico Amaral, Rita Simões and Paulo Matos will be on stage for a month, between Lisbon and Porto.

The funny comedy full of hilarious misconceptions, written by Rodolfo da Rocha Carvalho and staged by Paulo Matos, returns to the stage for sessions in Lisbon and Porto.

“My Husband’s Lover” will be on stage this month at the Oceans Auditorium in Lisbon and in July marks the premiere of the door comedy at Invicta, at Teatro Sá da Bandeira:

• Oceans Auditorium (Casino Lisboa): 21, 22 and 23 June; 5, 6, 7 and 12, 13 and 14 July
• Sá da Bandeira Theater (Porto): 18, 19, 20 and 21 July

The comic adventures of “My Husband’s Lover” are triggered by the tantrums of Constança (Rita Simões) with her husband, Asdrúbal (Paulo Matos) who dreams of being an actor, but on the other hand, the wife presses her husband to work in her lingerie store.

The narrative culminates with the entrance on the scene of Arnaldo (Frederico Amaral), a distinguished man who idealizes a platonic love and who is both confused as the lover of Asdrúbal, as well as Scouter, who comes to meet Marilyn (Marta Andrino), the maid of Constança and Asdrúbal, who dreams of winning the Misses contest of the parish club and finding the love of his life.
