«In a city where nature has been banned, a small crime by a simple man triggers unexpected consequences…»
A glimpse into a strangely dystopian, yet familiar Lisbon, represented in the short film O Peculiar Crime do Estranho Sr. Jacinto. A Portuguese production by Bruno Caetano, based on a short story by Manuel Ruas Moreira, with music by Filipe Raposo and narration by Sérgio Godinho. It is one of the most presented Portuguese films all over the world, with a presence in more than a hundred national and international festivals and deserving of three dozen awards and distinctions.
An exhibition made up of sets, props, and puppets that allow us to discover the secrets behind this animation production, full of technical elements and other curiosities. As in the film, there is an ever-present environmentalist message here, a very important discussion these days.
The film itself will be shown continuously so that we can stay in the rhythm of this fantastic universe.
This exhibition has a set of guided tours by Bruno Caetano, Saturdays at 11:00 am, 11:30 am, 12:00 pm, and 12:30 pm on February 25th, March 11th and 25th, April 15th and 29th, May 6th and 20th. Entry is via registration to the number (+351) 213 612 899 or to the email fabricasartes@ccb.pt, from Wednesday to Friday. This exhibition unfolds in a set of activities: free and guided visits, workshops, and training.
