mostra_T is a festival designed by TEC to give visibility to young groups and emerging projects by students and alumni of national art schools. The application deadline is currently running until April 30th.
Fernando Alvarez from Teatro Experimental de Cascais explains to us better what the mostra_T is, which “was born in 2016 out of the need to respond to numerous requests for accommodation that reached us throughout the year. We found that the largest percentage of these requests were made by groups of recent graduates or former students from the Escola Profissional de Teatro de Cascais, so we decided to bring them together and create a youth theatre show, in which one of the key criteria for participation would be to include EPTC students or former students in the show”.
Mostra_T takes place from September 10th to October 5th and includes an average of 7 productions, most of which are absolute premieres. The choice is made by the end of May of each year according to criteria of quality of presentation, the suggested repertoire and the novelty of the artistic options. In 2024, the 9 editions of Mostra_T will be celebrated.
