Portugal beats Spain and is in the final of the Euro under-21
This Thursday, Portugal beat Spain, 1-0, and is, for the third time in history (it had been in 1994 and 2015) in the final of a U21 European Championship.
In Maribor, Slovenia, and despite the intense Spanish domination in the second half, it was Rui Jorge’s team that reached the goal in the 80th minute. Fábio Vieira broke through on the right, crossed tensely and central defender Jorge Cuenca, in an attempt to making the cut, ended up betraying the Spanish keeper and introducing the ball into his own goal.
The final is scheduled for 20:00 on Sunday.
