Portugal’s first baby of the year was born in Lisbon.
The first baby of the year was born at Alfredo da Costa Maternity (MAC) in Lisbon. It’s called Uryyah, a name of biblical origin meaning ‘the Lord is light’.
Uryyah is the first baby of 2020. She was born precisely at 00:00 on Wednesday at Alfredo da Costa Maternity in Lisbon, with 3 kilos and 880 grams.
She was due to be born on December 26th, but wanted to wait a few more days in the comfort of her mother’s womb (knowing perfectly well the coldness that is ‘out there’).
TVI tells us that the mother’s waters broke at 7 pm on the 31st and hours later was born Uryyah, whose name has biblical origin – means ‘The Lord is light’.
The boy now joins the four sisters.
