Prime Video reveals the first images and cast of The House of Spirits
In celebration of the 42 years of the first edition of The House of Spirits, Alfonso Herrera and Nicole Wallace enter the role of Esteban Trueba and Clara del Valle.
The cast is completed with Dolores Fonzi, Fernanda Castillo, Aline Kupenheim, Maribel Verdú, Pablo Macaya, Antonia Zegers, Amparo Noguera, Catalina Saavedra, Nicolás Francella and Pedro Fontaine, among others.
Prime Video reveals the first images and full cast of The House of Spirits, the next original eight-episode series based on the best-selling book by Isabel Allende of the same name. With over 70 million copies sold worldwide, the novel is considered one of the most important of the twentieth century and had a previous film adaptation in 1993. Isabel Allende and Eva Longoria (Mujeres Desesperadas) are the executive producers, alongside the creative team formed by Francisca Alegría (La vaca que cantó una canción hacia el futuro), Fernanda Urrejola (Cry Macho) and Andrés Wood (Noticia de un secuestro).
The House of Spirits will be available soon in more than 240 countries and territories around the world as part of the prime subscription. Amazon Prime subscribers in Portugal can enjoy offers, free shipping and entertainment all in the same subscription for only 4.99 euros per month or 49.90 euros per year.
The House of Spirits by Alfonso Herrera (Sense 8), Nicole Wallace (Culpa Mia) and Dolores Fonzi (Blondi) are Esteban Trueba and Clara del Valle in different phases of their lives, alongside Fernanda Castillo (El Señor de los Cielos) who is Férula Trueba and Juan Pablo Raba (News of a kidnapping) that is the beloved Tío Marcos.
The cast of stars in the series includes Aline Kuppenheim (1976), Eduard Fernández (La piel que habito), Fernanda Urrejola (Cry Macho), Maribel Verdú (El laberinto del fauno), Pablo Macaya (El lugar de la otra), Nicolás Francella (En la mira), Antonia Zegers (El castigo), Catalina Saavedra (Rotting in the Sun), Amparo Noguera (El conde), Nicolás Contreras (Baby Bandito), Sara Becker (La contadora de películas), Emilio Edwards (En la gama de los grises), Rochi Hernández (30 noches con mi ex), Chiara Ravicini (Soy Luna), Pedro Fontaine (Vencer o morir) and Noelia Coñuenao (La tempestad), with roles yet to be confirmed.
The House of Spirits is a magnificent saga that tells the epic story of a proud and passionate family, secret loves and a bloody revolution. The passions, struggles and secrets of the Trueba family go through a century of violent social changes, culminating in a crisis that throws the proud and tyrannical patriarch and his beloved granddaughter into opposite directions.
The series is produced by FilmNation, the Palme d’Or winning team behind Anora and Una joven prometedora, with support from Fabula, the Oscar-winning Chilean producer (La memoria infinita, Una mujer fantástica).
