Qatar Airways announces partnership as Official Sponsor Airline for EURO 2020T
Qatar Airways is proud to announce that it will join the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) as a partner of UEFA EURO 2020™, with the national carrier of the State of Qatar being the Official Airline of the tournament that will take place from June 11 to July 11, 2021.
The 16th edition of the emblematic UEFA Championship will see the celebration of the tournament between 24 teams in 12 host cities, including Amsterdam, Baku, Bilbao, Bucharest, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Glasgow, London, Munich, Rome, and St. Petersburg.
London’s Wembley Stadium will host the final on 11 July 2021. Qatar Airways will serve all host cities, either directly or through air partners. In addition, the Qatar Airways brand will have a prominent place on all digital platforms and stadiums that will host the 51 games that take place during the tournament.
The sponsorship of UEFA EURO 2020™ reinforces Qatar Airways’ presence in the world of sport; with FIFA, CONMEBOL, Paris Saint-Germain, AS Roma, Boca Juniors, FC Bayern Munich, K.A.S. Eupen and Al Sadd SC well placed in the carrier’s global football sponsorship portfolio, further representing their alignment with Qatar’s national vision.
Qatar Airways recently became the first airline in the world to achieve the prestigious 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Rating safety rating by the international air transport rating organization, Skytrax.
This follows HIA’s recent success as the first airport in the Middle East and Asia to receive Skytrax’s 5 Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating.
