Qatar Airways reveals the first official aircraft of the Football World Cup 2022

Qatar Airways, Official Partner and Official Airline of FIFA presented the hand-painted Boeing 777 plane with the logo of the FIFA World Cup FIFA Qatar 2022™, in order to mark two years until the start of the competition, on November 21, 2022.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his personalized aircraft, bearing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ logo, was handpainted to commemorate the airline’s partnership with FIFA. More planes in the Qatar Airways fleet will be personalized with this logo and will fly to numerous destinations.

The Boeing 777-300ER will make the first flights, namely QR095 and QR096, on November 21, between Doha and Zurich. The inaugural route of this aircraft reinforces Qatar Airways’ sense of partnership commitment with FIFA, flying to the “mother house” in Switzerland, on this very important date.

The Chief Executive of the Qatar Airways Group, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: “We are extremely excited to celebrate our partnership with FIFA and celebrate Qatar’s status as host of the Qatar 2022 World Football Championship, adding this unique plane to our fleet. As an Official Partner and Official Airline of FIFA, we feel a growing enthusiasm with just two years to go before we welcome the world into our beautiful country.”
