SunEnergy installs the first electric vehicle charging HUB in Portugal
SunEnergy, a specialist in solutions for the production of electricity from the sun, has just entered the area of installation and operation of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (PCVE), inaugurating a new business area. The first HUB was installed by SunEnergy and has just been opened in Leiria.
Six others will follow, which will be ready in the coming weeks, in Guimarães, Matosinhos, Viseu, Coimbra, Loures and Loulé.
“This is Sunenergy’s first major step in the area of electric mobility, a new business area for the company, which joins solar panels, its main activity, and which makes perfect sense, given its positioning as a company“, says Raul Santos, CEO and founder of SunEnergy.
Each Hub consists of 1 150 kW PCVE (Ultra-Rapid Charging Station): it charges 80% of a battery in about 30 minutes; 3 50 kW PCVE (Rapid Charging Station): charge 80% of a battery in about 1.5 hours and 5 22 kW PCVE (Normal Charge Station): charge 80% of a battery in about 3.5 hours.
These Hubs were put out to tender by Mobi.e, with Sunenergy having won 7 of the 9 tenders, among more than 20 entities that competed, thus being the entity chosen for the construction of the infrastructures, which included all the civil works, the placement of the network. of cables, the installation of a concrete monobloc with a 630 kVA transformer station, the installation of 9 PCVEs in each HUB, its commissioning and also its licensing with DGEG.
