Susana Veiga European champion in adapted swimming in the 50m freestyle S9

Susana Veiga, who won the silver medal in the Europeans in 2018 and is also runner-up in the world distance, swam in 28.85 seconds, breaking the European record, set at 28.89, and the national record, which was 29,30.

The swimmer of the Swimming Club of Colégio Vasco da Gama prevailed against the Spanish Sarai Gascon (29.30) and Nuria Marques Soto (30.71), who won silver and bronze, respectively.

On Wednesday, Susana Veiga, who has a deficiency in her right leg, won the silver medal in the 100 meters free S9 event, setting the new national distance record.
