Volkswagen’s ID.3 is officially being presented at the National Electric Vehicle Meeting this weekend and will be available in Portugal as a limited First series, with prices starting at 38 thousand euros, without administrative or transport costs.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he press release describes that we are facing a Golf on the outside, with the interior space of a Passat, due to the Open Space concept on the inside. This is also the first Volkswagen based on the newly developed modular electric platform (MEB).
This model has a 58 kWh battery, which powers an electric motor on the rear axle, with 150 kW of power (204 hp) and a maximum torque of 310 Nm. The range varies between 300 and 420 kilometers.
The ID.3 allows AC charging of 11 kW and DC of 100 kW, integrates fast charging capacity, with a charging power of 100 kW it is possible to recharge in just 30 minutes enough battery for an autonomous WLTP of 290 kilometers.
The First edition will be available with just 80 units and in three versions, ID.3 First Plus and ID.3 First Max. All are guaranteed for eight years or 160000 kilometers for the batteries.
Among the equipment available, there is two-zone air conditioning, voice control, Car2X, heated multifunction steering wheel, heated seats, Discover Pro navigation system, rain sensor, adaptive cruise control and App Connect Wireless.
