1,605 tons of food collected by the Food Bank

Once again the Portuguese are in solidarity with the most disadvantaged by collecting food for “The Food Bank against Hunger”.

[dropcap type=”background”]W[/dropcap]ith 1,605 tons of food collected this weekend in the national campaign, in more than two thousand commercial areas.

This Saturday and Sunday, we had another Food Collection Campaign, with a value close to that obtained in the campaign last year, despite the final of the football cup and the European elections and the good weather that invited a trip to the beach.

Another novelty was the introduction of reusable bags, making collection greener.

Despite the improvement of the economic conditions, many Portuguese continue to face great difficulties, which is why they praise the help given by those who can. Anyone who wants can still contribute until June 2, buying food vouchers in supermarket boxes and adhere fuel supply stations.
