2 Leagues of the Tui Valença Eurocity: A Race that Unites Two Peoples
The Tui Valença Eurocity hosts the third edition of the “2 Leagues of the Eurocity” race on Sunday, November 2nd. Registration is now open for this iconic 2 Leagues (9,560 meters) race, which runs between two municipalities and two countries, uniting two peoples.
Over the course of nearly 10 kilometres, athletes will have the opportunity to pass through places of unparalleled natural beauty as well as a rich historical heritage, such as the Centennial International Bridge, the Minho River promenade, the historic centre of Tui, with its Cathedral of Santa Maria, and the Valença Fortress.
Race Sponsors Manuela Machado and Júlia Vaquero
Just like in 2024, the sponsors will be two true legends of Portuguese and Spanish athletics. Manuela Machado (Viana, August 9, 1963), two-time European cross-country champion; and Júlia Vaquero (A Guarda, September 18, 1970), two-time European silver medalist and finalist in the 10,000m at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

The “Léguazinha” race is open to athletes ages 7 to 11 and will cover a distance of 500 meters. - Mini-Leguas
The “Mini-Leguas” race is open to athletes ages 12 to 17. - Hiking
Hiking enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to, along the 5 km route, travel through part of the Valença Fortress. - Where to Register?
Registration is mandatory for all races, and the walk, mini-league, and little league are free. Participation in the main event, for athletes over 18, requires mandatory registration for €6 until October 15th and €9 until October 31st.
