- 433 donors registered, resulting in 323 units of blood collected
- 74 people became donors, donating blood for the first time through this initiative
The 23rd edition of the “Arms given for a good cause” campaign, promoted by Mundicenter in partnership with the Portuguese Institute of Blood and Transplantation (IPST), ended with a positive result: during the collection days held at Oeiras Parque, Strada Outlet, and Braga Parque, 433 people were registered, resulting in 323 units of blood collected. Among the participants, 74 new donors joined the campaign.
The campaign took place from July 28th to 30th at Oeiras Parque and Strada Outlet, and on August 13th and 14th at Braga Parque, with extended hours that facilitated participation from the local community and visitors. As in previous years, the initiative reinforced the importance of blood donation and the need to maintain blood reserves at safe levels, with a simple gesture that can save lives.
“It’s very gratifying to see that, year after year, we’ve been able to mobilise hundreds of people for this act of solidarity. For Mundicenter, it’s essential to continue developing actions that positively impact society, and this campaign is already a tradition that we want to see grow with each edition,” said Mundicenter’s management.
