The Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS) returns on March 6th with another Employability Week, an initiative that has already confirmed the presence of the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security, Ana Mendes Godinho, at the opening session, starting at 10:00 am, in the Institute’s Noble Auditorium.
This 9th edition, which returns to the original face-to-face format, will have the participation of more than 120 companies and organizations, through presentation and recruitment sessions, covering the different areas of IPS training, from Health to Business Sciences, including Engineering and Technology, Social Sciences, Education and Sport.
Having as its main attraction the offer of various moments where direct interaction between students and potential employers will be possible, the initiative, once again organized in partnership with Associação Académica (AAIPS), will have its highlight at the Employment Fair, scheduled for on the 8th and 9th of March, which receives the Minister of Territorial Cohesion, Ana Abrunhosa, for a speech on its opening day (4 pm).
The initiative is also back on more intimate formats that allow networking and the sharing of knowledge and contacts, as is the case of the meetings “At the table with…”, with CEO, human resources directors and entrepreneurs, which will take place on the 7th. , from 3 pm (ESE/IPS lobby).
This year’s conference program focuses on the theme “Young Employment: How to attract and retain talent”, with contributions from representatives of JCDecaux, Randstad, and the Setúbal Peninsula Industry Association (AISET), in a session scheduled for the 6th, right after opening.
Over these five days, an action on entrepreneurship and its impact on local development is also planned (6th, 2.30 pm, IPS Barreiro campus), with the presence of Nelma Fernandes, president of the CPLP Business Confederation, and the workshop “Gain prominence through Linkedin”, conducted by digital marketing specialists Marco Gouveia and Rui Patarrana (7th, 10:00 am, Auditorio Nobre).
Finally, the 9th Employability Week highlights the theme of sustainability, promoting, in partnership with SEIES and IEFP, a meeting on “Business Practices for People and the Planet” (10th, 10:00 am, ESTSetúbal Auditorium 2 /IPS).
