The director of the Olympic preparation Marco Alves will be the head of the Portuguese mission to the Tokyo2020 Olympic Games, said the official source of the Portuguese Olympic Committee (COP).
Marco Alves headed the Portuguese missions at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, the Mediterranean Games, Tarragona, Spain in 2018 and the World Games in Wroclaw, Poland, in 2017.
According to the same source, the director of the department of missions and Olympic preparation of the organization was chosen by the executive committee of the COP in December 2018, at which time it was also decided that Catarina Monteiro, deputy of José Garcia in the mission to Rio2016, will to help Marco Alves.
