Miguel Oliveira brings points to Catalunya
The rider finishes the seventh Grand Prix of the season in 12th place.
Miguel Oliveira who was very close to winning points in Italy, finished 16th, this Sunday at the Catalunya Grand Prix came back to finish in a scoring position.
The Portuguese started the grand prize in 20th position, but several peripécias allowed his rise in the table.
Aleix Espargaró had to give up, due to a mechanical problem, on the second lap, then Jorge Lorenzo, trying to overtake Marc Márquez, lost control and went to the asphalt, and took with him Valentino Rossi, Andrea Dovizioso and Maverick Viñales.
But until the end, Francesco Bagnaia, Franco Morbidelli and Cal Crutchlow also for losing control of the motorbikes, increased the list of abandonment of the race.
The winner was Marc Márquez, winning his fourth win of the season. In this race at home, the Spanish rider finished with 2,660 seconds of advantage over Fabio Quartarato and 4,537 over Danilo Petrucci.
Currently, Marc Márquez adds 140 points, 37 more than the second, Andrea Dovizioso. Miguel Oliveira, who now has 12 points, goes from 19th to 17th position of the general in equality with Andrea Ianonne.
