[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hen you are born you do not know the floor where you dance, but you dance with your body, an instrument for creating movement, you dance even before you know how to walk, your body wanting to grow, to fly. What the body sees dancing remains in the memory of the body that dances, dance lessons are not necessary to dance, just let the body vibrate.
Dance is not only Western, it is not only European, it gains breath in the flights of birds, it travels free, it asks for help from the wind, it is as natural as the natural world. If we are happy, we dance, it is natural, and laughter is the chest that dances. Dance is an expression that communicates, that approaches, when other barriers are raised, it is to hold hands and find a partner.
Some tens of years ago, the dances that were going to be danced at dances were written in notebooks, to find out how many dances one went to, and with whom: “I dance with you so many dances! As I spin the third dance, I dance with my dear friend! ” What if one of those notebooks came to life and danced? It is a living sculpture that dances, it is a painting that swirls, it is like a book that is different on each page. And, on so many pages, you learn how to dance. » Sónia Baptista
