Porto Puppet Festival presents 14 shows in Porto and Matosinhos

Under the theme “Limites do Humano”, the 2020 edition proposes to explore speeches and thoughts on science and politics, with a program that also includes a ‘concert-performance’, three online workshopsb and two masterclasses.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he 31st edition of the FIMP has the participation of six countries, the Netherlands, Cape Verde, Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal, in a total of 25 performances that take place in ten theaters in Porto and Portugal. Matosinhos.

The festival starts today with “Kamp“, from the Dutch Hotel Modern. On Saturday, at Teatro Campo Alegre, he takes the stage “Bad Translation“, by Cris Blanco, Spain.

The 2020 edition of the festival ends with a production from Belgium: “Cratère 6899“, by Gwendoline Robin.

The program also includes the shows “Uma Coisa Longínqua“, by the Teatro de Ferro & Carlos Guedes, “O Fim do Fim“, by Alma d’Arame & Companhia João Garcia Miguel, and “Lições de Voo“, by Teatro of Puppets of Porto.

Filipe Moreira, winner of the fourth creation scholarship Isabel Alves Costa, presents, in an absolute premiere, the show “Fibra“, to which are added other premieres such as “What is no longer and what has never been“, by Joclécio Azevedo, and “O Cheiro dos Velhos“, by the Portuguese Cultural Group of Mindelo & Porto Puppet Theater, in national premiere.

The show “Lilliput“, by the Spanish dancer resident in Portugal Ainhoa ​​Vidal, in absolute debut at FIMP’20, is another of the featured productions.

The stages of the Municipal Theater of Porto (Rivoli and Campo Alegre), of the National Theater of São João and Teatro Carlos Alberto, of the Bolhão Palace, Catholic Circle of Workers of Porto, and of the Superior School of Music and Performing Arts, in Porto, as well as like the theater of Constantino Nery Theater, in Matosinhos, this year hosts FIMP.
