Benfica wins the U-20 Intercontinental Cup
The Portuguese youth team won the first edition of the Supercup. The red team defeated this Sunday in a UEFA Youth League game, Penãrol by 1-0.
In a match held at Estádio Centenário, in Montevideo, with Samuel Soares and Diego Moreira, who are also part of Benfica’s first team, led by Roger Schmidt and also Leny Lacroix, Cher Ndour, Henrique Pereira, Martim Neto and Luís Semedo, players who line up also by the B team.
Luís Semedo was the scorer of the goal that gave the Reds the victory, he came from the bench to the second post and placed the ball in the Penãrol nets, following a corner, in the final moments of the game, in what was the first edition of the Intercontinental Cup of Sub- 20.
