Bosch has over 150,000 recharging points across Europe
Electric car drivers have an average of six charging applications on their smartphones, and need to juggle about five cards to access the charging points.
In addition, prices at recharge points can vary widely, and users despair at the uncertainty in car electricity prices and the wide variety of payment methods.
Bosch has set itself the goal of ending this confusion at charging points, for which the company is developing recharge services that allow these drivers to have access to one of the largest pan-European networks.
At the moment, these users can use their smartphones to find more than 150,000 charge points in 16 European countries.
The company built the network by defining contracts with operators and using methods such as roaming to connect the charging points. As a result, more than 27,500 charging points in Germany are now part of this network.
For electric car drivers, this means that they can use the Bosch app, “Charge My EV”, or affiliated suppliers such as “Clever Laden”, to find vacant charging points 24 hours a day – whether in the vicinity of where they are or even when traveling.
Additionally, Bosch’s charging network is constantly growing: by the end of 2020, it is expected to include around 200,000 charging points across Europe.
