Voting for the 12th edition of “Canal Hollywood – Guesses of the Oscars 2023”, the largest opinion poll carried out in Portugal on the Oscars, is officially open.
From January 25th to March 11th, the Hollywood Channel invites viewers to vote on who, in their opinion, will be the big winners of the 95th edition of the Oscars, which will take place on March 12th, at the iconic Dolby Theater, in Los Angeles, with Jimmy Kimmel as host.
In a historic year for national cinema, with the first nomination for a Portuguese film in 95 years, “Ice Merchants” by João Gonzalez, nominated for Best Animation Short Film, is the film by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert “Tudo em Every Side at the Same Time” which takes the lead in the race for the Oscar ceremony with 11 nominations.
Among the most nominated films are “The Spirits of Inisherin” (9), “Nothing New in the West” (9), “Elvis” (8), “The Fabelmans” (7), “Tár” (6) and “Top Gun Maverick” (6).
Having presented the nominees, it’s time to look at all the categories, sharpen your critical spirit and place your bets on Hollywood Channel, until March 11th.
To participate, just consult the list of nominated films and choose the ones that will win in the different categories of the contest. The winner will be the one who gets the most categories right, winning a dream trip to Los Angeles, with a five-night stay for two people in the great city of the Oscars, a premium visit to the most enigmatic points of the city and tickets to Universal Studios Park.
After having won more than 10,000 participations in the last edition, Canal Hollywood once again challenges the Portuguese to reveal their preferences in “Hollywood Channel – Oscar Predictions 2023”, the largest opinion poll carried out in Portugal on the nominees for the awards of Academy.
