Carolina Deslandes launches today her long-awaited new EP, entitled “MULHER”, which she performs live tonight at Capitol Hill, in an event that sold out in a few hours.
This surprising new project by Carolina Deslandes is an EP, a short film, and the maximum expression of an artist of causes, which transcends itself with each step it takes.
In this EP, Carolina Deslandes has the special participation of musicians such as Agir (who produced the themes “Tempestade”, “Apetece” and “Não Me Importo”) or Diogo Clemente (with whom wrote the songs of “Sinais de Fumo”, “ Morada em Mim” and “Vergonha na Cara”).
In the short film “MULHER”, which Carolina Deslandes signs in partnership with, also a director, Filipe Correia dos Santos, we can listen to the new songs and watch the written fiction, narrated and starred by the artist. This short film represents several generations of women victims of domestic violence and will be shown in the first half hour of the event at the Capitol.
The artist will then take the stage to present live, for the first time, in an exclusive showcase, the new songs of the EP, already available on all platforms. “Sinais de Fumo” and “Faz Morada em Mim”, appear only in the version of the short film, which will be made available on Carolina Deslandes’ YouTube channel, shortly after the event.
This launch has the support of MEO that will amplify this cause. Under the motto #NãoFiqueÀEspera, MEO joins this project with the aim of making the Portuguese aware of this form of abuse.
The ticket revenue of the event at the Capitol, fully reverts to UMAR – Union of Women Alternative and Response.
