CRIATURA announces final show of “BEM BONDA” Tour
Tivoli BBVA Theater, November 13th
This concert also marks the group’s return to Lisbon and their first concert performance this year, which will feature the Coro dos Anjos.
After four years on tour, CRIATURA is preparing the final show of their album BEM BONDA at the Tivoli BBVA Theater on November 13th.
CRIATURA is an eclectic group of musicians, artists, and individuals who draw from memory and popular culture to create new ways of seeing, feeling, and being tradition. In 2016, they released Aurora, and in 2021, Bem Bonda, featuring Coro dos Anjos, the young Lisbon choir from the Anjos neighbourhood, which will also be present at this concert.
The album Bem Bonda is the group’s most iconic record to date, spawning a long tour that rocked venues and festivals across the country. The album’s lyrics, steeped in memory, critical sense, and politics, come to life even more vividly on stage through the band’s sensitivity and musical and performance intensity. According to writer Valter Hugo Mãe, “They are the most important band in the country right now. Anyone who sees one of their shows sees the light. (…) A Criatura feels like flags and family, a vibrant village that beats in the heart of even the most sleepy city.”
The Bem Bonda performance now culminates in Lisbon, before the band retires to prepare for their third album. To mark the conclusion, Omnichord Records will release a second vinyl edition of the album, after the first sold out during the tour’s first shows. Other surprises are also in store for the audience attending the night of November 13th at the Tivoli BBVA.
