To mark the importance of International Women’s Day, La Redoute, once again, embraces a solidarity cause, in which part of the sale value of the Solidarity Bag reverts to the Associação Mulher Séc. XXI.
As part of its Social Responsibility policy, La Redoute marks International Women’s Day – March 8 – with the manufacture and sale of a solidarity bag that highlights the word resilience. This global initiative is adapted to the national context of the brand’s various subsidiaries. In Portugal, the entity chosen was Associação Mulher Séc. XXI – Association for the Development and Support of Women.
This action consists of the sale of a solidarity tote bag, made in France and made from 100% recycled materials, by the company Tissages de Charlieu – which is dedicated to the development of sustainable products within the scope of social protection. It will be launched on this occasion and of the €9.99 cost, €2 will revert to this cause (the rest being production and distribution costs). You can find this bag on the La Redoute website and stores, between the 8th of March and the end of 2022.
Paulo Pinto, CEO of La Redoute, reinforces the importance of this initiative: “More than the monetary value that results from this action (despite being extremely important given the current context), it is very important to talk about a problem that is real and that every year makes many victims in Portugal and in the world. Therefore, and because we are able to reach many people, it is our duty to actively contribute to the dissemination of solutions that aim to help those in need.”
