Wanda Stuart sang at Casino Estoril, Edith Piaf, a fantastic journey through the life and work of the French singer.
Édith Giovanna Gassion, Édith Piaf was born in Paris in 1915 and is one of the best known French singers ever, enchanted the stages of France and all the world, in addition to being a singer and songwriter, she was also an actress having participated in plays and films. She started her career in a “cabaret” but was recognized in the world for her talent with the French style music “chanson”.
Her tragic family and love life story were reflected in her music, with many successes that will never be forgotten, “La vie en rose” (1946), “Hymne à l’amour” (1949), “Milord” (1959), “Non, je ne regrette rien” (1960).
Wanda Stuart, after playing Edith Piaf on the show by Filipe La Féria, in the Casino Estoril took us to a history trip of the French singer life, with her fantastic voice and excellent interpretation, remembering her successes, but framing her life in the songs, personal tragedies, dramas and loving joys.
The singer from Lisbon, with a great career as a singer, actress, presenter and producer, was invited by Artfeist to present this show at Casino Estoril, in this new online streaming format, allowing viewers to continue to have culture, even at home and support artists and technicians in the pandemic.
