Fallout debuts explosively and Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films announce second season
After the incredible debut of Fallout, Prime Video announces the renewal of the series for a second season. Fallout is a work by Kilter Films and executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy Nolan, who directed the first three episodes.
Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner are the executive producers, creators and co-directors of the series. In the first four days, the series became a worldwide audience success, ranking among the three most-watched titles on the service and the most-watched season globally since The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The first season of Fallout premiered exclusively on Prime Video on April 11 in more than 240 countries and territories around the world.
“Jonah, Lisa, Geneva and Graham have taken the world by storm with this groundbreaking and crazy series. The bar has been set very high for fans of this iconic video game, and so far, it appears we have exceeded their expectations, as well as attracted millions of new fans to the franchise.” The cast, led by Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins and Kyle MacLachlan, “killed it,” says Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon MGM Studios.
“We would like to thank Jonah, Lisa, and our colleagues at Bethesda for bringing the series to us, as well as Geneva and Graham for coming on board as showrunners. We are very excited to announce season two just one week after the premiere and for being able to take viewers even deeper into the surreal world of Fallout.”
“Blessed are our brilliant showrunners, Geneva and Graham, our fantastic cast, Todd and James, and all the legends at Bethesda, Jen, Vernon and the wonderful team at Amazon for their overwhelming support of this series. We can’t wait to return to surprising the world”, say Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy of Kilter Films.
“Damn! Thank you to Jonah, Kilter, Bethesda and Amazon for having the courage to create a series that seriously addresses the most serious problems in today’s society: cannibalism, incest, jelly cake… There’s more to come !”, says Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, executive producers, creators and co-showrunners.
“It’s been one of the most spectacular projects we’ve ever been involved in. Jonah and his team did an incredible job and we’re thrilled not only with the series’ good reception but also with being able to work even more with such extraordinary people,” he says. Todd Howard, executive producer at Bethesda Game Studios.
