Eight weekends for bike lovers to get to know the most emblematic places of the region, with the first initiative taking place on October 19 and the last scheduled for December 21.
Road, gravel, and mountain biking enthusiasts will have available, starting October 19, a calendar of Bike Tours & Trips to explore Viana do Castelo and the region, full of places with strong attractions for leisure moments.
Among the eight initiatives proposed by FeelViana Sport Hotel, there are different levels of difficulty and various attractions to visit, ranging from rich natural and scenic heritage to built heritage. On the 19th, the program highlights a visit to Neiva in a Gravel Tour, an easy/medium-level route that will lead us to discover fields, fishing villages, and emblematic churches. There are discounts for those who wish to rent bicycles for the dates in question.
On October 26, the route is called “From Mountain to Sea” – E-MTB Tour, with the difficulty level increasing, but nothing that is beyond the reach of those who are used to pedalling to combine physical activity and leisure moments. A week later, on November 2, participants are invited to a Gravel Tour “Route of Shadows,” discovering the wonders of the Peneda-Gerês Park, and on November 16, the challenge is an E-MTB Tour through the lands of Ponte de Lima, with organized participation in the emblematic event “XXII Descida ao Sarrabulho.”
For the weekend of November 23 and 24, the proposal is more extensive. The “Gravel Santa Justa,” of medium level, includes an overnight stay and dinner in the lands of Santa Justa, and the following weekend will continue to favour altitude, with a route towards Santa Luzia. “Assault on Sistelo” is the proposal for December 7, a road Bike Tour with lunch in the “Portuguese Tibet,” located in the municipality of Arcos de Valdevez. With the holiday season approaching, on December 21, the “Christmas Tour – Gravel Tour” will take place, marked by bolo-rei and Port wine.
These are eclectic programs, with proposals aimed at everyone, regardless of their physical condition, since there are routes at sea level, for “rolling,” to more demanding trails, passing through historical sites, monumental mountains, incursions into local gastronomy, and stunning landscapes.
