13 artists in 15 cities celebrated love with the best soundtrack on the 11th, 12th, and 14th of February, the concerts that took place from north to south of the country received more than 17,000 spectators.
The Festival returns in 2024 for its 10th edition, which will take place from February 14th to 17th.
The 9th edition of the ‘Montepio sometimes loves’ Festival took place on the 11th, 12th, and 14th of February, with concerts in 15 cities that, during these days, became true capitals of love in a celebration of Valentine’s Day. Boyfriends with the best soundtrack.
Aveiro, Braga, Caldas da Rainha, Castelo Branco, Lagoa, Leiria, Lisbon, Peso da Régua, Porto, Santa Maria da Feira, Santarém, Torres Novas, Viana do Castelo and Vila do Conde received the shows of 13 artists and more than 17,000 people in total in this unforgettable celebration with several concerts completely sold out.
In this edition, reference artists, with longer and unavoidable careers, were joined by new national music talents in a diversified line-up with many hours of good Portuguese music.
Aurea, Cristina Branco & João Paulo Esteves da Silva, Fernando Daniel, GNR, João Pedro Pais, Lena D’Água, Luísa Sobral, Mafalda Veiga, NEEV, Paulo Gonzo, Pedro Abrunhosa and Syro, in addition to the unprecedented show “As Canções de Amor de George Palma”.
In an unprecedented show, thought up at the invitation of the festival, Jorge Palma was accompanied by an orchestra and by the singers Marisa Liz, Márcia, and A garota não, together with the musician, covered the repertoire of love songs carefully chosen for the occasion and which filled of emotions the Lisbon and Porto Coliseu’s, the room where the shows took place.
The “Montepio à Vezes o Amor” festival is a cultural event dreamed up and realized by the agencies Produtores Associados and Locomotiva Azul, and embraced since 2015 by the Montepio Associação Mutualista as naming sponsor. The organization thus closes yet another successful edition, celebrating love with more and more people through unique and unforgettable concerts.
