Not only music lives and “O Sol da Caparica”. One week away from the 8th edition, the Festival presents two programs for young and old alike.
Children’s Day
On the 20th of August, the Parque Urbano da Costa da Caparica enclosure will be open, from 10 am to 1 pm, to welcome children and families, with various activities that promise to create unforgettable memories.
This morning, little festival-goers will have the opportunity to watch jugglers, fire-eaters, and a Parade of Stars featuring the most emblematic cartoons, such as Minnie and Mickey. Aladdin is also one of these figures who will have a prominent role, with an exclusive theater play.

This morning, little festival-goers will have the opportunity to watch jugglers, fire-eaters and a Parade of Stars featuring the most emblematic cartoons, such as Minnie and Mickey. Aladdin is also one of these figures who will have a prominent role, with an exclusive theater play.
At the same time, there will be dance workshops promoted by Jazzy Dance Studios where the youngest will be able to practice their best moves and face painting to have the most fun in the world of fantasy.
“You are the star of this stage” is another one of the initiatives for this day, where the little ones will have the opportunity to go up to the LS Republicano stage and take pictures as if they were “Rock Stars”, with some of the musical instruments present on stage: drums, electric guitar, among others.
Another novelty is the presence of the largest inflatable circuit in Europe with tracks for children and others for adults. A perfect activity to have fun while exercising.
As will happen on other days, “Live the world of Barbie“, on a permanent basis at this Festival, will be one of the great attractions for children and adults this morning, where they will be able to take 100% “Instagrammable” photographs in the Barbie box, whose The film being shown has already broken a world box office record.

Wine village
Vila do Vinho is one of the great novelties of this edition for adults. A space where visitors will have the opportunity to discover and taste the wines of the Lisbon region brand, Porta 6.
Urban art
Sol da Caparica continues to innovate year after year. On the 17th and 19th of August, all eyes will be on the Urban Art that will be happening live on the Festival grounds. There will be two stations, two panels measuring 5×2.5 meters, where two teams will battle between 5 pm and 11 pm, with a DJ to entertain festival-goers.
A different concept will be launched each day and the two teams, curated by Adilson Lima da Tapumarte, specialized in urban art, will have to develop the best artistic creation, depending on the theme of the day.
Bateu Matou is the new confirmation of the festival and takes the stage on the night of the 20th of August at Palco Dom Tápparo. This new confirmation replaces the artist Iza, who will not be able to attend the Festival for logistical reasons.

The daily ticket varies between €20, for those over 65, and €26. For Children’s Day, the price is €2.80. The festival also offers different passes for the 4 days:

Family Pass (Includes Children’s Day) – 2 Adults and 2 Youths Up to 16 Years Old = 145€;
4-Day Pass for Over 65s (Includes Child Day) = 60€
