“Heat Waves”, by Glass Animals, in the Top 15 of the most listened on Spotify

O single é Quíntupla Platina, em Portugal

Glass Animals continue to live an absolutely great year thanks to the worldwide phenomenon that was generated around the single “Heat Waves”. The single has just broken yet another record and is the 15th most listened-to song ever on Spotify.

Already in Portugal, since its launch in June 2020, “Heat Waves” has won the Quintuple Platinum award!

In the USA, “Heat Waves” became the song that remained for the longest period of time in the top Hot 100 “Billboard“, an unbelievable feat that makes the Glass Animals surpass the record that previously belonged to “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd. In all, “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals has been in the top Hot 100 of “Billboard” for 91 weeks.

Wow, all I can say is wow. Many of you know that when I wrote this song, I wrote it about missing someone I loved very much. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would lead to so much love across the world. You all did it. Thank you to everyone who helped this song reach so many people. You know who you are. Thank you,” says Dave.

“Heat Waves” is part of the album “Dreamland” (2020), which this year was reissued in the “Dreamland: Real Life Edition” version, which includes collaborations with Arlo Parks, Denzel Curry, Albert Hammond Jr, Bree Runway and Diplo.
