Kevin Lopes is a musician and composer who premieres his single “Mi Ma Bô”.
The rhythm and the message carry a universality that makes the song easily relatable. “Mi Ma Bô” was written and composed by himself in partnership with Gabriel Faria and Maria Veiga and recorded at Panela Records studios.
“Mi Ma Bô” translates to Me and You, a place where we can well support our joy as a couple.
About the process of creating the song, Kevin shares that “(…) as the song took shape, it came to life and became more and more involving, and we, happier. Especially the chorus, which I really like and is based on an expression used on my island, Sal.”.
The music video was recorded in several locations in Greater Porto, directed by Victor Hugooli and produced by Nefelibatas Films. The vibes in “Mi Ma Bô” are ideal to bring the festivities to summer temperatures!
Kevin Lopes’ debut, in the words of the artist reads as “(…) “Mi Ma Bô” has become a symbol for me. Symbol of what is to come. It’s also a reminder that this is the path I want to follow and continue to share and learn from people and artists who share and respect art, which is something that literally connects us with frequencies or vibrations or anything else that doesn’t have explanation and allows us to understand things that do not need to be expressed verbally or visually.
