LIKA makes a declaration of love for Lisbon in the new video “Music of My City”

The new video by singer, guitarist and songwriter LIKA is a declaration of love for Lisbon: “Музыка Моего Города” (“Music of My City”), sung in Russian, but totally inspired by Portugal, especially Lisbon, where it was filmed.

LIKA who was born in Kazakhstan, has lived in Portugal for a few years and it is in our country that she decided to host her international career. In his words, “after the first steps in Lisbon, after the first exchanged smiles, the emotions of simple things, like a glass of wine at the end of the day, or the smell of grilled sardines or hot bread in the bakery in the neighborhood narrow, or even when I looked around and had a jacaranda sky blessing me… and then I felt that Lisbon was my home.”

The new single features a very special guest, trumpeter Matt Von Roderick, with whom LIKA played several times in Los Angeles and who immediately accepted the invitation, even without having heard the song.

The mix and mastering of the theme was done once again in Hollywood at LAFX Studio and Rentals (where LIKA recorded the debut album “Back to Zero”) with the prestigious sound engineer Spencer Guerra (in the same studios where Rod Stewart, Jimi Hendrix and others recorded) and at AfterMaster Audio, studios co-owned by Justin Timberlake and where artists like him, Madonna, John Lennon, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg and many others recorded.

LIKA also has excellent Portuguese musicians such as Bernardo Fesch, João Colaço, Ernesto Rodrigues and Miguel Barrosa.

The single is available on all digital platforms under the Independent Records label.
