Lisbon makes more than 3,000 computers available to primary school children

Lisbon will deliver 3319 computers to children in the 3rd and 4th grades of schools to facilitate online learning

Online classes have been the only possible solution to guarantee some curricular support in times of pandemic and social isolation, but unfortunately it does not reach everyone because it is dependent on the capacity of each family and the equipment they have.

To assist these families, the City of Lisbon will deliver 3,319 laptop computers to students in the 3rd and 4th years of the 1st cycle of public schools.

According to the municipality, the equipment, with internet access, will be used until the end of the school year or until the face-to-face classes return.

This equipment now acquired will be used in the next school year to equip the 1st cycle classrooms in the city of Lisbon, accelerating the digital transition of these schools under the responsibility of CML.
