Luís Sequeira finally presents his debut album: “Ensaio Sobre o Sequeira”. At the same time, he also releases the new single “Toda a Gente Mente”.
This theme, written by the singer, was inspired by the first episode of the series “Dr. House”, where the protagonist utters one of his most iconic phrases and directives: “everybody lies”. According to Luís Sequeira “Inspired by this, I wrote about the inevitability of lies in our lives, which can kill or save, contemplating in this theme that we never escape it, no matter how small.”
On the 20th of April, he takes the stage of the Estoril Casino Auditorium, at 9.30 pm, to present “Ensaio Sobre o Sequeira”.
His aptitude and dedication as an artist, composer, and singer led him to reach, in 2014, the final of The Voice Portugal program where he was mentored by Marisa Liz and during which he stood out, not only for his vocal versatility but also for his memorable performances.
The singer-songwriter’s first work, produced by musician Tiago Pais Dias, celebrates artistic self-discovery, exploring the strengths and weaknesses that intrigue us all, with the aim of making sense too as many listeners as possible, as it is the meaning of his expression. creative. It is a journey whose greatest ambition, deep down, is to reach where we feel most human.
“Ensaio Sobre o Sequeira” includes songs written by young musicians and also by Jorge Cruz, Tiago Pais Dias, among others. Of particular note are the versions of “Todo o Tempo do Mundo” by Rui Veloso and “Laços” by Tiago Bettencourt.
The musician stands out for his powerful voice and it is in the songs that he reveals a deeper and more sincere side. Sequeira brings a different way of feeling music to Portuguese Pop-Rock.
