Luís Trigacheiro releases single with Diogo Piçarra
"Porta 43" is available on all digital platforms
Luís Trigacheiro had already had a song written by Diogo Piçarra, featured on his first album, his debut work released after winning The Voice in 2021 and impressing all the mentors on that season.
One of them was, in fact, Diogo Piçarra, who, despite being from the Algarve, doesn’t hide his childhood memories of his grandparents’ house in Alentejo.
One afternoon, at Diogo Piçarra’s studio, Trigacheiro brought two friends (also from Alentejo), Eduardo Espinho and João Direitinho. During the composition process, an unusual “calça-te amor” (put on your shoes, love) inspired the theme, and the song was written. The complicity and artistic connection made “Porta 43” the first collaboration between the two artists, an instant classic that fuses pop with traditional music.
The song premiered live at the end of August at the Crato Festival, and the audience’s reception couldn’t have been better. The music video, directed by André Tentúgal, with whom both artists work regularly, depicts a couple travelling along a scenic road near the sea in separate cars. At the end, they reunite at “Porta 43“, leaving the future open.
Luís Trigacheiro will perform live in two sold-out sessions at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon on October 25th, marking his solo debut at the country’s most iconic venue.
