“Fado Enamorado”, written, composed and produced by Tiago Machado, marks the return of one of the most beautiful voices of the new generation of fado, Maria Emília.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Maria Emília breathes music from an early age, having accompanied her father (guitarist) in the fado houses of her hometown. As a teenager, she left Brazil for Portugal, where she continued to sing fado, and since then she has been asserting herself as one of the great voices of the new generation of fado singers.
After releasing her debut album “Casa de Fado” in 2018, Maria Emília stepped on numerous stages in Portugal but also abroad, passing through Spain, Algeria, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Brazil, New York, Africa from the South, Sweden or Holland, always with great success.
“This song represents, for me, a post-pandemic era. Hope, joy, and willingness to live everything that has not been experienced during these two years. It also represents Maria Emília, who over this time discovered the many Marias that inhabit her, in addition to Maria Fadista. Today is a happy day because everything has started again.”
“Fado Enamorado” is the first advance of an album that will arrive in 2022.
