Nelly Furtado returns to the city of Porto confirmed at North Festival
The artist has just released a new song with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake and performs at Parque de Serralves.

Nelly Furtado – A Portuguese-Canadian singer – is returning to Portugal, and Porto, to perform at the new edition of the North Festival. 16 years after the release of the hit “Give It To Me”, the artist is now reuniting with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake to present fans with another hit from the trio in “Keep Going Up”. This will be just one of the themes highlighted on the night of May 26th, the day on which the artist takes the stage at Parque de Serralves to treat festival-goers with hits such as “Say It Right”, “Maneater”, “Promiscuous”, “All Good Things” or the famous “I’m Like a Bird”.
In addition to three solo albums – Loose, Whoa Nelly and Folklore –, which have achieved multiple platinum records around the world, Nelly Furtado has more than 20 billion global streams and more than 35 million albums sold. The artist also collected the most diverse awards, including several Grammys. After more than two decades of worldwide success, the performer has been dedicated to her latest work, to present more new songs to her millions of fans in 2024. The return to Portugal, and specifically to the city of Porto, through the North Festival, promotes this reunion between the artist and her Portuguese fans, a long-awaited moment.
WIU: THE GREATEST VOICE OF BRAZILIAN TRAP TODAY
And if the night of May 26th will feature Nelly Furtado at the North Festival, it will also have another big name: WIU. At just 22 years old, the singer – considered the greatest voice in Brazilian trap music today – already has a solid career in the music scene. At the age of 15, WIU released his first songs on the internet and, at just 19, he signed his first contract with a major label. His first single, “Sucrilhos”, achieved enormous success and, since then, WIU has not stopped.
Last year, in addition to one of the biggest surprises on the Brazilian sales chart, positioning himself as one of the artists with the most songs in the Top 5 on Spotify, the performer won over the Portuguese public with hits like “Coração de Gelo” – which counts with more than 100 million streams and was number one on Spotify in the week of release. At the North Festival, this and other themes, such as “Felina”, “Vampiro” or “Flow Espacial”, will captivate festival-goers and immerse them in a truly unique atmosphere.
THE REYTONS: THE CONTAGIOUS ENERGY OF INDIE ROCK
Considered the indie heroes of South Yorkshire, England, the Reytons entered 2024 with momentum, strength and energy at maximum levels. The band – which won first place, in 2023, with “What’s Rock And Roll?” and which sold out the Sheffield Arena – comes to Portugal to, on May 25th, bring the contagious energy of indie rock to the North Festival audience. At Parque de Serralves, in addition to some of the biggest hits on the band’s third album – “Ballad Of A Bystander” –, the band promises an electrifying atmosphere.
NORTH FESTIVAL: POSTER EVER CLOSER TO BEING CLOSED
The North Festival lineup – which runs from May 24th to 26th, at Parque de Serralves – is getting closer and closer to being completely closed. At this point, remember that, for the first day, May 24, Puerto Rican singer Myke Towers and also Maria Becerra, Argentine reggaeton sensation, have already been confirmed. For the second day, May 25th, Keane, Tom Odell, Birdy and, now, The Reytons are confirmed. The last day, May 26th, the day on which Nelly Furtado and WIU perform, is also marked by a carnival celebration with Claudia Leitte, Bell Marques and the group Menos é Mais.
Tickets for North Festival 2024 are now available at BOL. The general pass for three days costs 120 euros. Daily tickets cost 55 euros and a daily ticket for the VIP Zone costs 150 euros.
