Pedro da Linha at another “Arrebita” party

Pedro da Linha, DJ, producer and composer, is throwing another “Arrebita” party at Musicbox, taking place this Friday, May 10th, this time with Merca Bae as a guest.
After 2 years of playing regularly at Musicbox, Pedro da Linha decided to give his curatorship a name and formalize a unique party in the national context. “Arrebita” is a dance floor where popular music is valued in the context of clubbing, where one of the ambassadors of the new national clubbing invites friends to cross universes dancing to kizomba, semba, cumbia and those fast-paced genres and subgenres.
This Friday, Pedro da Linha is the Spanish producer Merca Bae, one of the most respected names in the new global club scene with regular presences in both Miami and Bogotá. Merca Bae and Pedro da Linha have in common that their production work marked a new era in the careers of artists such as Bad Gyal and Ana Moura.
Since January, names like Branko, Dj Glue, Fogo Fogo and ZenGrlx have appeared on “Arrebita” on Musicbox.
Recently Pedro da Linha edited Arrebita Edits Vol.1, a set of 3 editions that features remixes of songs by several artists: by the Spanish Judeline, the song “2+1”, by the Venezuelan ARCA the song “Incendio” and by the Portuguese Ana Lua Caiano her single “Se Dançar É Só Além”.
“I’m addicted to making music and no matter how much my friends complain, I can’t spend too much time in a cafe telling stories about out-of-control adolescence. I’ve spent the last 10 years composing, producing and remixing music, these are my passions. My football manager is FL Studio who is full of ideas and I finally decided to start bringing some of them to life. ‘Arrebita Edits Vol.1’ is a tribute to artists that I really like and also serves to illustrate a little of what is going on. It’s at my Musicbox residency, Arrebita. I chose these 3 songs because they all had one thing in common and it’s difficult to happen: they had a huge impact on me from the first listen and didn’t let themselves be shaped by time”, I hope it’s danceable.” says Pedro da Linha about Arrebita Edits Vol.1.
About Pedro da Linha
Born in Damaia, Pedro da Linha has established himself as one of the most important names in the renewal of national music.
As a producer and composer, he was responsible for the latest works by Ana Moura, Eu.Clides, among others.
As a DJ he is a descendant of the golden age of national clubbing, in which Principe Discos and Enchufada were central in interpreting and forming several new beats in Lisbon’s sound.
A regular contributor to Musicbox Lisboa, he was responsible for the debut in the city of several names at the forefront of international clubbing, such as Nick Leon, MJ Nebreda, Merca Bae and INVT, among others.
This 2024 marks Pedro da Linha’s return to original music, with several releases planned until the end of the year, which will culminate in a new album, due out at the beginning of 2025.
Pedro da Linha is the ambassador of the future that has already begun to be written.
